We are looking for a creative and hands-on Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer to join our Mechatronics team. You will work alongside smart colleagues to design the "brain and nervous system" of our Autonomous Mobile Robots and complex automation machinery.

The Role As an Electronics & Embedded Systems Engineer, you will bridge the gap between mechanical hardware and intelligent software. Your primary goal is to design, prototype, and implement electronic components and integrated circuits that drive our automation solutions. You will handle the full spectrum of electronics engineering—from designing circuits and building rough "proof-of-concept" prototypes to developing low-level embedded software and finalizing instructions for mass production. This role requires a deep understanding of servo drives, sensors, and the communication protocols that make industrial automation tick.

Core responsibilities:

• Execute functional and technical design of electronic components, PCBs, and integrated circuits for robotics and industrial automation.
• Develop low-level embedded software and firmware, ensuring robust communication between subsystems.
• Build and test functional prototypes to validate concepts quickly; diagnostics and functionality are prioritized over aesthetics during the prototyping phase.
• Prepare systems for mass production, creating comprehensive manufacturing instructions and documentation to ensure scalability.
• Integrate servo drives and automation sensors, defining control logic and ensuring precise actuation and data feedback.
• Design and maintain software development processes, ensuring code quality, version control, and reliability.
• Manage technical governance, overseeing safety certifications and ensuring designs meet industrial compliance standards.
• Collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with the Mechatronics Team Leader to meet departmental deadlines.
• Support onsite deployment (approx. 10% travel), assisting with the installation and commissioning of technology at customer locations

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Solid real-life experience with Low-Level and Embedded Programming (C/C++).
• Deep knowledge of low-level communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485); knowledge of Ethernet TCP/IP is a strong advantage.
• Proven capability in designing electrical circuits and diagnosing electronic components.
• Strong practical understanding of servo drives and automation sensors.
• Ability to prioritize functionality and problem-solving over perfectionism during the prototyping phase.
• PLC programming experience is considered a significant advantage.
• Active professional English language skills (B2 or higher) for documentation and technical collaboration, and fluent Slovak language
