Accountant

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We’re looking for a skilled Accountant who will play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.

You will be responsible for smooth processing of invoices, payments, and journal entries while supporting financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process accurate accounting records as part of the accounting function.

• Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Support maintenance of the general ledger and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Review journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

• Ensure accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions.

• Prepare input data for tax returns (VAT, CIT) and liaise with the Finance Manager, and external tax advisors.

• Process incoming invoices with precision and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
  

• Reconcile accounts payable regularly and maintain accurate financial records.

• Act as the primary contact for vendor payment-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain detailed records of all accounting documents, transactions, fixed assets and prepare financial reports for management.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  

• Support preparation of documentation for external audits and inquiries from authorities.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

1. Knowledge of Accounting Principles

2. Experience with Complex Accounting

   • At minimum, Slovak GAAP; US GAAP or IFRS is an advantage.

3. Accuracy and Attention to Detail

   • Handling financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L), monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and reporting.

4. Organizational Skills and Ability to Manage High Transaction Volume

   • High level of precision when processing invoices and payments.

5. Communication and Technical Skills

   • Strong communication with vendors and internal teams; proficiency in financial software and accounting systems.
   • Efficiently managing multiple accounts and large volumes of operations.
