What you will do

As a Field Engineer at KEMA Labs, your main responsibilities will include:

· Preparation, support to execution and follow-up of standard-compliant tests on high-voltage devices and cable systems at the customer's site, up to 400 kV. Any single test usually requires two or three day for set up, test performance and demob activities.

· Set up of the equipment and measuring system for tests for the verification of withstand stress with accompanying PD measurement as well as other tests according to customer specifications

· Continuous training in the areas of applicable standards on HV site tests

· Supporting the Field engineer in charge of the test performance during all the test phases, including voltage circuit preparation and safety arrangement according to the method statement.

· When Test Equipment is arranged in trailers, driving the truck (up to 40 tons) for short distances to reach the test site.

You will be responsible for tasks above and work closely with the onsite team.

What you bring
Among all your other talents, your key knowledge and experience is:

· Completed Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering / High Voltage Engineering

· Technical understanding, accuracy and analytical skills

· Previous experience in field application in High Voltage plants

· Willingness to take many business trips, even at short notice (Europe-wide)

· Willingness to perform as a minimum 150 days/year on-site, typically 3 days a week

· Confident handling of MS Office

· Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken

· Good communication skills, social skills and initiative

· Organisational skills with a systematic, analytical and quality-oriented way of working

· Driving licence class C (preferrable)
