DESIGN ENGINEER

Your tasks as a Design Engineer will be:

• Engineering of hydraulic systems and their components – incl. TM-R area (not only Hydraulic)
• Coordination of the work results with responsible internal departments, as well as customers and suppliers
• Analysing and evaluating of existing products, components, systems, reports, documents, customer orders and requirements. Preparing of engineering solutions, creating of evaluation matrix and coordinating in the team. Ensuring smooth development from Draft to Design, including Series support will be part of responsibilities.
• Check of existing Designs on the basis of statistical evaluations, complaints and damage patterns, creating drafts if necessary, coordinating them and specify engineering solutions.
• Creating 3D CAD Models, Technical drawings, incl. BOM
• Carrying out calculations, e.g. tolerance, strength, dimensioning of the components. Evaluating results and adjusting engineering solution
• Evaluating and optimize Design solutions, regarding of Cost, Quality, Timeline
• Participation in project-related workshops, FMEA's and DFA's
• Maintain, review, and regularly update design documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency

Your profile:

• Successfully completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, applied physics or similar
• Good technical and physical knowledge
• Open-mindedness, ability to work in a team as well as a goal-oriented way of working
• Previous knowledge of CAD modeling is desirable, preferably with CREO
• Fluent in English, German is of advantage
• At least 3 years of professional experience in automotive industry
