What will you do? 
As a Java Engineer you will contribute to design, development od Backend RESTful API web services using Microservices architecture, and deployment of Caterpillar’s state-of-the-art digital data platform hosted on AWS. You will also:  
-Perform all programming and development assignments without close supervision.
-Work directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.
-Drive application development focused around delivering valuable business features.
-Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. 
-Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
-Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness 
-Perform integration testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results. 

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
-Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
-Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
-Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace.​

Top Candidates will also have:
-Degree from Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent experience. 
-Proven Software development experience.
-Solid experience with Java 8 or higher and RESTful API development using Springboot.
-Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle.
