Project Specialist – Research Grant Preparation and Implementation

The Centre for Functional and Surface-Functionalized Glass (FunGlass) is a recognized international research center specializing in advanced glass and ceramics. We collaborate with top academic and industrial partners across Europe and are actively involved in prestigious EU-funded research projects, including Horizon Europe.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the preparation, management, and implementation of research projects, contributing to the strategic development of our center. Both junior and senior candidates are welcome to apply; for junior applicants, the selection process will place greater emphasis on potential, motivation, and learning ability rather than extensive prior experience.

Key Responsibilities (description of work):

Prepare grant applications, especially for EU funding programs (e.g., Horizon Europe)

Coordinate full project lifecycles – from approval to completion

Monitor and support project activities to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets

Ensure delivery of measurable project outputs and objectives

Prepare progress and final reports; oversee financial compliance

Communicate with project partners, authorities, and stakeholders

Support general research administration, including event organization, talent management processes, and procurement of goods and services

Ensure project visibility and publicity in line with EU requirements

Actively contribute to expanding the center’s project portfolio

Attend relevant EU and networking events
