Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are seeking an experienced and highly competent leader to join our team as Maintenance Director, responsible for the strategic and operational management of aircraft maintenance and for ensuring the continued airworthiness of the fleet in compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with national and international regulations (Part-145) and company standards

  • Ensure continued airworthiness of the fleet within the scope of responsibility

  • Manage safety risks and security threats related to maintenance operations

  • Ensure compliance with EASA requirements, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and other mandatory continuing airworthiness requirements

  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with regulatory authorities, OEMs, MROs, and external partners

  • Define and monitor KPIs to support performance management and data-driven decision-making

  • Lead budget planning, cost control, and approval of invoices within the area of responsibility

  • Ensure the Maintenance Department is adequately staffed with competent and qualified personnel and oversee their training and development

  • Oversee maintenance documentation, procedures, technical standards, and quality systems

  • Support aircraft acquisition, delivery, and redelivery processes from a maintenance perspective

  • Cooperate with Compliance Monitoring during audits and ensure timely closure of findings

Authorities

  • Authority to make decisions regarding risk tolerability in aircraft maintenance matters

  • Direct accountability to senior management / Accountable manager for airworthiness within the scope of duties

Requirements

  • Demonstrated managerial competence combined with appropriate technical and operational aviation qualifications

  • Acceptable to the Transport Authority as a nominated person in accordance with applicable regulations

  • Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance management within a Part-145 approved organization

  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations within the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) framework, including Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014

  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to effectively manage safety, compliance, and operational performance simultaneously

  • Holder of a valid Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License (AML)

  • Solid understanding of continuing airworthiness requirements

  • Experience with Boeing 737 aircraft preferred

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the aviation industry, including at least 2 years in the aeronautical industry in a relevant role (AMO duties and/or supervision of these duties)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Part-145 regulations, requirements, and procedures

  • Familiarity with Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) structure and its implementation

  • Appropriate technical and operational aviation qualifications

  • Must be acceptable to the Transport Authority as a nominated person in according to 145.A.30 personal requirements

  • Adequate language and communication skills

  • Knowledge of human factors principles in aviation

  • Knowledge of EU management system requirements, including safety management systems and compliance monitoring

  • Ability to make decisions and take responsibility

  • Professionalism and strong attention to detail

  • Competence in making informed decisions based on risk assessment and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Adaptability – able to respond to regulatory changes and adjust procedures accordingly

  • Team collaboration – works effectively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain compliance measures
