Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and help drive the next stage of our company’s growth. The CFO will be responsible for leading all aspects of finance, treasury, banking, fundraising, grants, financial controlling, human resources, legal, intellectual property, insurances, and budget management.

This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to a forward-thinking financial leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. The CFO will be a key advisor to the CEO and Board, helping to shape financial strategy, operational structure, and long-term scalability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives and investor expectations.

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and track key financial and operational metrics.

  • Build and manage financial models to support strategic decisions, valuation, and business planning.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, and reporting standards suitable for scaling and future due diligence.

2. Treasury, Banking & Fundraising
  • Lead capital strategy — including equity fundraising, venture financing, convertible notes, grants, and debt facilities.

  • Manage investor relations and communications, ensuring transparency and credibility with current and prospective investors.

  • Oversee banking relationships, cash management, and capital allocation to maximize runway and operational flexibility.

  • Design and implement financial controls that balance agility with risk management.

3. Grants & External Funding
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities (government, innovation, or sustainability-focused) aligned with the company’s technology and R&D roadmap.

  • Manage grant application, budgeting, and compliance processes efficiently and transparently.

4. Financial Controlling & Budgeting
  • Build scalable finance systems, policies, and reporting infrastructure from the ground up.

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure disciplined use of resources.

  • Monitor KPIs, cash flow, and profitability metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Provide regular financial and operational reports to the Board and investors.

5. Human Resources & People Operations
  • Oversee HR strategy, including talent acquisition, compensation design, and equity incentive programs.

  • Ensure a people-first culture that aligns with startup values and regulatory compliance.

  • Develop scalable HR systems to support rapid team growth and cross-functional collaboration.

6. Legal, Compliance & IP Management
  • Manage corporate legal affairs, contracts, and compliance frameworks, ensuring the company is investor-ready.

  • Oversee intellectual property strategy — including patents, trademarks, and NDAs — working with external counsel as needed.

  • Maintain corporate governance standards and support board operations.

7. Risk & Insurance
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage (e.g., D&O, liability, cyber, IP).

  • Identify financial and operational risks; implement mitigation and contingency plans.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

​Advanced qualifications such as MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent are a strong plus.

Demonstrated experience with venture fundraising, investor relations, and financial modeling for early- to growth-stage companies.

Proven success in building finance and HR teams, implementing systems, and driving financial discipline in fast-moving organizations.

Understanding of SaaS, hardware, IoT, or deep-tech business models is an advantage.

Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach — able to operate both at boardroom and tactical levels.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and investors.

High integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability to ambiguity and rapid change.

Passion for technology, innovation, and creating scalable business infrastructure.
