Legal & Compliance Officer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Legal & Compliance Officer oversees the legal and compliance aspects of Kia Slovakia subsidiary, to safeguard the reputation and integrity of the company and the compliance of the company with the relevant legal regulations and guidelines. You will collaborate with the legal & compliance teams of Kia EU and/or Kia HQ to perform the mission. Be the interface between local management/business and the Kia EU Legal & Compliance regarding all legal and compliance related matters.

• Actively collaborate with the Kia EU Legal & Compliance to coordinate legal and compliance related programs and initiatives
• Attend the Pan-European monthly alignment calls
• Collect local legal and compliance consulting requests and either directly handle these matters with local external counsel or collaborate with Kia EU Legal & Compliance
• Support Pan-European or local investigations and litigations (derived from investigations)
• Support Pan-European projects (legal, compliance, privacy & IT) e.g, provide contract templates, communicate with local management and business departments, answer questions from different stakeholders.
• Support in Legal and Compliance trainings for the local stakeholders
• Maintain contract-related documents and correspondence within Kia's Management Contract Database Legis way
• Support the communication between local external counsel and DPO and internal departments of KSK
• Monitor and manage local litigation cases and provide the quarterly Litigation Report to Kia EU.
• Support of the implementation of (compliance) policies
• ESG Reporting for KSK
• Coordination of data collection for ESG
• Security Officer performing tasks based on the results of HQ Security audit
• Implementation of all new rules in HQ Security documents and creation of a new control system that will be demonstrable in the next audit mainly in fields of human rights and greenwashing.
• Reviewing the systems set up and operating at KSK for compliance - prevention - and adjusting them if necessary
• Creation of protocols to facilitate decision making/work so that it is clear that individual actions are compliant with compliance and create procedures that practically reflect implemented compliance policies
• Coordination and creation of GDPR overview in cooperation with DPO
• Regular training on practical tips especially in the area of competition law, anti – bribery and anti-corruption area
• Other activities according to direction of the management

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• 3 years+ in an international work environment, preferably automotive, or technology company background. Experience in compliance and GDPR are preferred. ​
  
• Strong ethical judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential matters
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and spoken)
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and take ownership
• Cooperative and collaborative working style across departments and with external stakeholders
• Adaptability to changing regulations, business needs, and priorities.
• Fluent in English and the local language
