Quality Continuous Improvement Lead

About the role:

Identify, analyse, execute and lead continuous improvement projects related to the quality system and plant operations. Work with different multidisciplinary teams to ensure that projects are executed on time and in accordance with quality system regulations and standards. Prove follow implementations to comply with corporate and plant procedures so that the implementations have a positive impact on quality assurance and the effectiveness of processes and systems.

Contribute to the improvement of quality system indicators through the implementation of projects aimed at the simplification, efficiency, effectiveness, and efficiency of processes and systems. Simplification. Identify and implement best practices that allow us to achieve quality improvement in our operations, as well as the operations, as well as increasing the effectiveness of our manufacturing.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

• The most senior quality person responsible for identification, investigation and solving of the most complex issues.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the quality system based on, but not limited to, the system's management indicators, customer feedback, internal performance indicators, among others.
• Use continuous improvement, statistical and QA tools to define the scope, purpose, resources, and steps required for the execution of processes.
• Lead investigation and ensure solving of the most complex problems/projects/processes in the quality area. Lead the projects or ensure the implementation of projects related to quality assurance and compliance processes. Raise in a timely manner any situation that requires process modification.
• Work with different multidisciplinary teams ensuring to achieve the proposed objectives with the implementation of the identified improvement projects.
• To standardize Operations Quality Engineers work via training and coaching. Ensure ops QE work is performed by standard way in compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Identify applicable best practices for our quality system and manufacturing processes, as well as define and execute adequate, effective, and sustainable implementation plans for them.

• You bring a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality systems, with a strong grasp of continuous improvement methodologies.
• You’re a natural problem-solver, capable of leading complex investigations and driving impactful quality initiatives.
• You thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy collaborating with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
• You’re detail-oriented and analytical, with a structured approach to project and process management.
• You’re confident in using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software, and ideally have experience with SAP.

• You communicate clearly and effectively, adapting your message to different audiences and stakeholders.

Education / Qualifications: 

• University degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma Green Belt (Preferred).
• Proficient in Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Project Mgmt. (Microsoft Project, etc.).
• SAP knowledge desirable.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in positions related to the quality system.
• Development and change of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience in project/process management.
• Operates in a team environment, working on multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Proficient with standard software applications used at ConvaTec.
• Proven experience in the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience in operations and manufacturing.
• Experience performing risk analysis.
• Team player
