About the job:

CoE DUA Tower Lead oversees and operates the Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) function within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bratislava. This role serves as a critical link between Synpulse and the client’s Delegated Underwriting Authority team, ensuring the high-quality performance of day-to-day delegated operations, stakeholder alignment and delivery of strategic initiatives. You will lead a growing offshore team, act as a Delegated Leader to the client across various lines of business and contribute to innovation and efficiency within the DUA function. You will also represent the CoE in broader strategic conversations, drive operational improvements and support both your team and clients in achieving sustainable success in the delegated underwriting space. 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & CoE Operations 

• Lead the Bratislava-based CoE DUA team, ensuring effective capacity management, resource allocation and alignment with strategic priorities. 
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal team members, ensuring task clarity, performance feedback and professional development. 
• Support team members through 1:1 mentoring and coaching, fostering a growth mindset, knowledge-sharing and engagement. 
• Provide onboarding and continuous training for new and existing team members, driving excellence in delegated operations delivery.

Client Partnership & Delegated Business Support 

• Work alongside the client’s Delegated Data and Operations Manager to support the client’s initiatives and improve the overall process.  
• Maintain close relationships with clients’ underwriters and internal stakeholders across claims, compliance, legal, finance and other functions. 
• Support client stakeholders in resolving complex cases by leveraging your subject matter expertise in delegated authorities. 
• Represent CoE input in project discussions, pipeline planning and cross-functional initiatives. 

Technical & Operational Excellence 

• Oversee audit reviews, slip assessments and contract onboarding/renewals with attention to regulatory and procedural compliance. 
• Drive operational efficiency in DUA processes, especially around audit cycles, coverholder onboarding and delegated governance. 
• Lead the day-to-day execution and quality assurance of the 3rd party coverholder audit process, including peer review and SLA adherence. 

Project & Change Leadership 

• Drive continuous improvement projects that align with the client’s strategy and Synpulse delivery excellence. 
• Support communication and alignment across Synpulse offices, advocating for Bratislava’s delivery capabilities and promoting cross-office collaboration.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

About you:

1. Minimum of 6 years of relevant (re)insurance, consulting or sales industry experience, ideally related to delegated underwriting authority business 
2. Proven experience in managing people, processes or projects in a regulated and client-facing environment 
3. Bachelor’s or higher degree level required 
4. Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills 
5. Contractual review skills with some legal background are needed 
   
6. Familiarity with coverholder lifecycle, bordereaux handling, audit processes, and governance frameworks 
7. Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities 
8. Excellent written and verbal communication 
9. Problem-solving and process optimization mindset 
10. High level of initiative, accountability and adaptability 
11. Comfortable navigating cross-cultural and multi-office environments 
12. Experience working with offshore delivery models and CoE structures 
13. Proactive approach to capacity planning and team enablement
