We look for Mr Nightshine to help us out managing and supervising night shifts (22:00-6:00). While most guests are counting sheep, we need a brave and reliable man to count the day’s figures, host the night owls with a warm welcome, a happy smile and a positive colorful attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcomes customers to the hotel and responds to customer requests

• Integrates Supervisory admin duties during night shifts as the one responsible for the overall night hotel operations

• Stays current with developments in the hotel by reviewing the communication log book each shift; updates log book for next shift

• Allocates rooms and issues appropriate keys

• Follows-up and verifies arrivals by updating registration cards in regards to spelling of guest’s name, address and method of payment

• Handles incoming guest room reservations

• Is aware, at all times, of current room status and room availability

• Increases hotel revenue by promoting food and beverage alternatives within the hotel

• Insures all guests establish credit upon check-in

• Monitors customer accounts to insure adherence to hotel credit limits

• Identifies and records special billing instructions and notifies accounting

• Completes shift closing accurately

• Demonstrates teamwork by co-operating and assisting colleagues as needed

• Handles difficult situations of the night operations effectively

• Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, and effectively assists the hotel’s guests

• Uses the ABC approach to respond to negative comments and complaints; and notifies Front Office Manager immediately for appropriate follow-up

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Mr Nightshine with a beautiful smile and genuinely positive nature!

Requirements:

• Fluency in the English language, any additional language is an advantage, the Slovak language is a must as well

• Previous work experience in a hotel environment, ideally during night shifts

• Is fully conversant with property management systems, knowledge of OPERA is a strong advantage !

• Is able to operate (or learn how to operate) switchboard, telefax, key equipment, credit card machines and printers, hotel alarm systems, and other Front Office equipment

• Willingness to work only in night shifts and lead/take responsibility for the night shift hotel operations as Night Manager
