Component engineer (junior/medior)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

As part of Neways’ continued growth and our ambition to strengthen the Component Technology framework, we are opening the position of Component Engineer at Neways Slovakia.

The Component Engineer’s role is to further professionalize the maintenance of component data, lifecycle governance, and obsolescence across its international network.

Key Responsibilities:

Component Data & Lifecycle

• Create and maintain parts in the component database and VPL.
• Ensure accurate and complete data for items and BOMs.
• Perform Life Cycle Management activities, including EoL assessments and obsolescence strategies.
• Maintain parametric data and approved manufacturer lists in ERP/PLM.
• Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, PFAS and IPC/JEDEC.

Stakeholder Support

• Provide technical advice and propose alternatives for supply or manufacturability issues.
• Communicate with suppliers for technical clarification and data validation.
• Ensure high‑quality data from external providers and support international Neways sites.

Continuous Improvement

• Support component‑related improvement, automation and process optimization.
• Ensure data quality, correct documentation and adherence to governance standards.
• Promote standardization of component data and processes across sites.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Previous experience in a similar position is an advantage
