About the Company

KME Slovakia is part of the KME Group which is a leading European industrial group active in the copper sector, serving major industrial customers.
The Slovak entity is a strategic and effective workshop focused on copper slitting and processing, and serving customers in the Eastern European region.

As we expand our local market presence, we are reinforcing our organization with a Controller who will support the General Manager and build up solid financial controlling and reporting practices in alignment with the Group standards.

Role Overview

The Controller of KME Slovakia will be responsible for establishing and running all controlling, reporting, and financial activities at the Slovak site.

This is a hands-on role focused on building the local controlling framework from the ground up, with the full support of the Group Budgeting & Control Team.

The role is fundamental to ensure financial discipline, process reliability, and robust tracking of the financial and operational performances. Over time, the position may evolve toward a broader analytical and business partnering scope as the local operations grow.

Key Responsibilities

Controlling & Reporting

• Implement and maintain monthly management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, KPIs) in alignment with Group standards.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of local financial data through coordination with the external accounting provider.
• Perform cost analysis, product and margin reporting, and variance analysis on operational and commercial performance.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes under the guidance of Group Controlling.
• Monitor cost efficiency, production results, and order profitability to ensure transparency in financial performance.

Accounting & External Service Coordination

• Act as the main financial interface between KME Slovakia and the outsourced accounting and tax services.
• Ensure proper and timely communication of data and reconciliations with the KME managerial reporting.
• Validate monthly closings of the managerial reporting and support the statutory reporting process in compliance with Group accounting principles and local statutory requirements.

Internal Controls & Processes

• Establish and maintain key financial controls (cost control, purchase tracking, approvals, etc.).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of local processes in cooperation with Group Controlling.

Profile Requirements

Education & Experience

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 2–5 years of experience in controlling or financial analysis, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Solid understanding of management accounting, cost control, and reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on and pragmatic, with a “builder” mindset.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and reliable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to bridge operational and financial perspectives.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to develop controlling practices from the ground up.
