O pozícii

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Gütewerk is a European household brand for kitchen, cleaning and everyday tools, designed in Europe and sold across Amazon and other European marketplaces. Our products are designed here. Where and how well they are produced is what this role decides.

You are the person who makes sure we never run out of stock, and never sit on stock we don't need. You own the purchase orders, the supplier relationships, the price, the payment terms and the quality that arrives in the container.

Ordering and inventory balance

•       Create and place purchase orders with our suppliers (mainly China) based on current stock levels, sales forecasts, lead times and MOQs

•       Own the balance between availability and tied-up capital: no stockouts, no overstock

•       Maintain reorder points, safety stock and coverage per SKU, and adjust them as seasonality and sales data change

•       Work closely with Sales and Product Management on forecasts, and challenge the numbers when they don't look right

•       Track and improve the KPIs that matter: in-stock rate, weeks of coverage, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, excess and slow-moving stock

Negotiation and commercial terms

•       Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, MOQs, tooling and packaging costs, and Incoterms

•       Improve terms year over year. This is a permanent objective, not an annual exercise.

•       Prepare and maintain price benchmarks and cost breakdowns per product

Quality ownership

•       Act as the internal keeper of product quality: specifications, golden samples, pre-shipment inspections, defect follow-up and corrective actions

•       Make sure documentation and compliance for the EU market are in place (for example food-contact, REACH, RoHS, relevant EN standards)

Supplier development and sourcing

•       Continuously search for alternative and additional suppliers offering better price, quality, capacity or terms

•       Qualify new suppliers, run sampling rounds and build a second source for key products

•       Travel 2 to 3 times per year to international trade fairs (Germany, China and others) together with the Product Manager, to maintain supplier relationships in person, drive product improvements and negotiate better terms

Zamestnanecké výhody, benefity:

•       Quarterly bonus of up to 10% of annual gross salary, linked to clear profitability targets

•       2 to 3 international business trips per year (Germany, China, and other fair locations)

•       Direct, short decision paths. You speak with the people who decide.

•       Real ownership of a budget and of supplier relationships, not an administrative order-entry role

•       A growing European brand where your negotiation results are visible in the P&L

•      Standard benefits such as meal allowance, 2 sick days, MultiSport, home office days

•      Flexible working hours in a modern office in the city center

Informácie o výberovom konaní:
Please send your CV in English. The interview process is conducted in English and consists of an introductory call, a technical interview including a short practical case (stock, forecast and reorder logic), and a final conversation with management.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Personality requirements and skills:

•       Strong negotiator with a long-term relationship mindset

•       Analytical and detail-oriented, but able to decide with incomplete information

•       Ownership mentality. You treat the inventory budget as your own money.

•       Direct, clear communicator across cultures and time zones
Other requirements:

•       Willingness to travel 2 to 3 times per year

•       Comfortable working with numbers, forecasts and margins. You should enjoy this part, not tolerate it.

•       Structured, reliable and persistent. A negotiator who stays friendly and still gets the terms.
Language skills:

•       English, upper intermediate to advanced (B2 to C1). Required. Daily working language, and the interview is conducted in English.

•       Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage, not a requirement

•       Slovak and German are an advantage

Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, advanced (required). ERP, inventory or forecasting systems are an advantage.

Experience: At least 2 years in purchasing, procurement, sourcing or supply chain. Experience sourcing from Asia, or with consumer goods and e-commerce, is a strong advantage.
