Group Business Development Manager
This is a highly strategic and impactful role, focused on driving business growth and revenue across multiple sites, offering an attractive opportunity for career development within the broader group.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered metal components, serving a wide range of industries including automotive, industrial machinery, and electronics. With state-of-the-art facilities in the UK and Slovakia, the company combines advanced stamping and assembly capabilities with complementary services such as subcontract cleaning and finishing. Known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, the company has built a strong reputation in its markets and is continuously expanding its presence across Europe. Role Overview:
The Group Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies across multiple production facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development activities across manufacturing facilities in the UK and Slovakia, focusing on EU markets, including Slovakia, Moravia, Czechia, Poland, and Germany.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities (short- and long-term) through market research, networking, and lead generation aligned with the company’s strategic direction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the company’s value proposition (including stamped components and complementary services such as subcontract cleaning and assembly).
  • Negotiate annual commercial contracts in line with business expectations.
  • Manage and coordinate in-year price adjustments.
  • Collaborate with external marketing providers to create digital content and launch sector-specific campaigns.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to shape business strategies.
  • Develop and clearly communicate revenue growth strategies for targeted market sectors.
  • Maintain accurate sales records using the company’s HubSpot CRM system.


Measures of Success:

  • Growth in the number of prospects and qualified leads generated.
  • Successful integration of new customers into the portfolio.
  • Increased RFQ pipeline from new and existing customers.
  • Achievement of agreed short-term tactical business transfer/resource targets.
  • Delivery of long-term strategic project targets.

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering.

Language Requirements:

  • English: B2–C1 (professional proficiency)
  • Czech and Slovak: C1–C2 (native or near-native proficiency)
  • Other languages: Any additional language skills are an advantag

Experience:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in business development or sales roles
  • Background in pressing/stamping preferred, though not essential
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing new business contracts

Other Requirements:

  • Regular travel within Czechia, Slovakia, the UK, and across Europe will be required
