O pozícii
Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
Under the overall guidance of the Protection Division National Project Officer; and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator (Legal Counselling), the incumbent will be responsible for legal and protection services within IOM’s Migration Information Centre (MIC) supporting the inclusion of migrants in Slovakia.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1.Provide comprehensive legal counselling to migrants linked to different areas of life and residence in Slovakia (e.g. employment, business, family reunion, citizenship, education, health care, social security) through personal consultations, information helpline and electronic communication;
2.Provide comprehensive legal assistance with integrated protection components to vulnerable migrant groups, with a specific focus on migrant children.;
3.Prepare records on individual cases, and maintain beneficiaries database;
4.Monitor websites for updates and new legislation with regards to labour mobility, as well as monitor and assist in updating the MIC website, including insertion of updates, communication with website service provider;
5.Assist in elaboration legal analyses and statements to relevant laws and other legal documents;
6.Collect and regularly update relevant data and legal documents in a database of information related to legal and labour integration of migrants;
7.Assist in development of information materials and other supporting documents for target groups;
8.Assist in Preparation of various visibility materials in form of presentations, photos, articles, short films or others;
9.Organize outreach activities towards the private sector, educational and research institutions, trainings and consultations with specific focus on migrant children;
10.Assist in preparation of events, reports, briefings, background information, narratives and legal analysis as necessary and required;
11.Gather and archive data, information and supporting documentation necessary for the project implementation;
12.Perform general office maintenance tasks including correspondence, market surveys; logistics, and procurement of technical equipment and office supplies;
13.Assist in the preparation of legal documents, periodic and final reports to the donor, including filing and preparation of supporting documentation;
14.Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Mission.

All inclusive fee corresponds to 2,352,00 EUR per month at full time (income is exempted from taxation).
6 weeks of paid annual leave per year (2.5 days per completed month of service)

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
EDUCATION
▪ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution in Law with four years of relevant professional experience
OR
▪ Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with at least six years of relevant working experience, preferably in similar roles.
EXPERIENCE
▪ Experience in migration Law;
▪ Experience in preparing legal documents;
▪ Experience in writing and editing articles;
▪ Experience in project administration;
▪ Experience in preparing presentations;
▪ Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced
persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups is an advantage; and,
▪ Experience in developing and implementing project activities related to migration issues is an advantage.
SKILLS
▪ Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with a team; and,
▪ Excellent orientation in social, labour and migration law of the Slovak Republic and human rights law.
Languages1 IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
For this position, fluency in Slovak and English is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of other languages is desirable.
