Middle Software Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Middle Software Tester to join our dynamic, international team. If you are passionate about quality, have the ability to analyze and test software applications, and are eager to bring your expertise to the table, we want to hear from you!
This role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the development and testing of high-quality software products. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and product management, ensuring that new features and releases meet the highest standards. You should be ready to take ownership of your work, communicate clearly across teams, and have a strong eye for detail. This is a temporary position as a deputy for maternity leave. This position is based in our Zilina office, but the successful candidate is given the flexibility to work from home also, owing to our hybrid working policy.


As a Middle Software Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Designing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases based on business requirements and technical specifications
• Preparing and maintaining relevant test data
• Accurately executing regression tests, validating new and existing functionality
• Identifying, documenting, reporting, and retesting defects
• Collaborating closely with developers, product management, and team members located abroad
• Facilitating communication among all technical and business areas affected by testing activities
• Contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the testing environment
• Conducting performance and security testing
• Actively participating in test automation initiatives and utilizing appropriate testing tools
• Providing regular updates on incident status, overall testing progress, and release readiness to Project Management and Test Leads
• Ensuring that all test documentation (plans, scripts/cases, pass/fail results) is complete and stored in the designated repository
• Staying up to date with new testing tools, strategies, and best practices
• Supporting knowledge-sharing and participating in ongoing learning opportunities

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
Technical Skills and Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in software testing
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques
• Proficient in test case design, execution, and documentation
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
• Ability to work with databases and write SQL queries
• Experience with automated testing tools is an advantage
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• ISTQB Certification is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
