Facility Manager

About the role:

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring, that systems maintenance, repairs and operation of building, plant areal and utilities are done in the most optimal way and incompliance with local procedures, requirements and legislation. Facility manager is managing facility and ESG projects to support operations base business requirements, new products and new equipment, ensuring environment for processes and products to be delivered to the highest quality and customer satisfaction. Facility manager is responsible for keeping budget for area of responsibility and managed projects as well as defined KPIs.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

• Manage service and maintenance on buildings, installations and external areas
• Control supply of all types of utilities (power, water, gas)
• Responsible for constant improvement for utilities consumption
• Responsible for correct setup and functionality of BMS systems in building
• Responsible for maintaining of clean rooms environment.
• Authorization to electrical installations
• Creation and maintenance of relevant work instructions and procedures
• Communication with external vendors and coordination of external services
• Cooperate on budget preparation for each fiscal year.
• Budget control of facility expenses
• Preparation of documents for facility CAPEX projects
• Define yearly maintenance plan for facility technology and infrastructure.
• Coordination and supervising of external facility management service.
• Close cooperation with local and global EHS team
• Close cooperation with Global Project manager for energy, utilities and waste
• Participate on creation of plant Environmental roadmap and realization of projects based on the roadmap
• To ensure compliance with the legislative and internal requirements of the EHS and to participate in the fulfillment of the company's targets in the EHS area.

About you:

• You have 5–10 years of experience in facility or building management, ideally within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• You possess strong knowledge of technological equipment, utilities, and building systems, with the ability to quickly understand and manage complex infrastructure.
• You’re experienced in energy management and committed to driving improvements in utility efficiency and sustainability.
• You have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and can develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
• You’re confident managing budgets, evaluating vendor proposals, and overseeing CAPEX projects.
• You have experience leading teams and coordinating external service providers to ensure smooth facility operations.
• You’re organized, communicative, and thrive in a role that requires cross-functional collaboration.
• You’re committed to maintaining high standards in safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
• You’re flexible and open to occasional travel to support project execution and vendor coordination.

Qualifications/Education:

• Degree level in Engineering or a relative scientific discipline.

Skills & Experience:

• 5 - 10 years’ experience in building management.
• Knowledge of technological equipment and a rapid understanding of their systems.
• Knowledge of energetics.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in leading team of people min 1 year.
• Ability to technically and commercially evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to problem solving and can propose and implement technical solutions to process capability and reliability issues.

Travel Requirements:

• The position may involve travel up to 15% of the time. Projects will dictate the amount, location and frequency of travel.

• Office based position with home office possibilities based on the local home office policy
• Flexible working hours
• The role will require flexibility (as required) to visit and work with vendors for equipment development and Convatec manufacturing sites for equipment installation/validation.
