Job Summary

Take the lead in managing TÜV Rheinland’s operations in Bratislava as a Branch Manager. This dynamic role is ideal for a leader with a mechanical engineering background, a passion for business development, and a proven ability to oversee operational success. You will drive business growth, lead a team of 5 professionals, and cultivate strong relationships with key players in the Slovak market. A balance of leadership, operational management, and strategic client engagement is essential, with regular on-site presence in Bratislava and travel across Slovakia to strengthen customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the office team,
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to expand business opportunities,
• Identify and secure new business opportunities to strengthen market presence,
• Oversee certification and audit processes, including welding shop approvals,
• Manage office performance, including budgets, profitability (P&L), and intercompany coordination,
• Ensure smooth office operations, including facilities and supply management,
• Collaborate with subcontractors, accountants, legal partners, and service providers,
• Organize annual subcontractor training sessions,
• Supervise employee travels and meet clients in person as needed.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Degree in Mechanical/ Welding Engineering or equivalent,
• Quality-oriented mindset with knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED),
• 5+ years of leadership experience,
• Fluent in Slovak and English,
• Solid understanding of the Slovak market with the awareness of business climates,
• Driver’s license (cat. B) and access to a personal vehicle,
• Willingness to travel across Slovakia (~15% of working time), with a few Budapest visits,
• Client-oriented, with excellent time management and customer service skills,
• Strong independence and self-reliance,
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have:

• Auditor certification,
• Knowledge of Hungarian and/or German,
• Experience in process improvement.
