OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As part of the EMEA AME CoE team, this role drives the optimization of product and process design to ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost performance by establishing and governing robust DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) standards with focus on DFAA (Design For Automated Assembly) and process risk management practices. The role leads the coordination and implementation of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and related technical documentation through APIS IQ-RM system, ensuring standardization, compliance, and alignment with global FMEA frameworks. Acting as a key interface across engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and global teams, the position performs structured risk analysis, supports R&D and continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthens organizational capability through training, audits, and standard development. By ensuring adherence to integrated quality, environmental, and health & safety systems, the role enables safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the organization.

Ultimately, this role ensures that both current and future products are designed and industrialized with optimized manufacturability, controlled risks, and standardized processes, enabling safe, efficient, and high-quality production performance across the enterprise.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the EMEA AME CoE team, responsible for ensuring that product and process designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost performance across the product lifecycle.

• Process recommendations for all assembly processes as core document:
• Creation based on executed cases
• Coordinating development of new processes
• Incorporating Best Practices and Lessons Learned
• Actively driving DFA reviews for DFAA aspect for new projects
• Participation on DFA review, support plants and Engineering Centers to assess design feasibility
• Develop standards and procedures for new projects or changes in existing ones, incorporating Best Practices and Lessons Learned
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement and Project Launch teams to define DFM/DFA standards
• Participate in research and development projects to ensure manufacturability of future products
• Plan and optimize product design for manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and cost efficiency

• Lead and coordinate the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and related technical documentation (Flow Charts, Control Plans). This includes ownership of APIS IQ-RM deployment, ensuring standardization, quality compliance, and alignment with global FMEA governance.
• Provides variety of training courses for different roles for PFMEA topics.
• Maintain the standard by performing, evaluating PFMEA audits to strengthen FMEA maturity across the organization.
• Creating, deployment to plans, maintaining(updating) Core PFMEA and Core PFMEA blocks in APIS to minimize risk, ensure standardization and speeding PFMEA process.
• Supports research and development initiatives, contributes to global standardization efforts
• Creating, maintaining, deploying system of PFMEA best practices & lesson learned.
• Actively driving the PFMEA culture.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Change Management

Required

• Min 1 year (optimum at least 2 years) experience within automotive industry for production processes and new launches
• Knowledge of IATF and VDA standards used in automotive industry
• Familiarity with automotive standards, including: FMEA, process flow charts, and quality tools
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Technical knowledge of latest automatization standards, applications
• Exceptional communicator
• Fully self-motivated
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
