Accountant Payables (Global position)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
Key Activities Performed on a Daily Basis:
- Accounting of incoming invoices and other accounting documents in accordance with accounting standards.
- Verification of data in accounting documents and their update in accordance with standards.
- Accurate assessment and accounting of VAT.
- Recording and resolving discrepancies in invoiced prices and quantities.
- Communication with suppliers regarding the status of open items in accordance with standards.
- Issuance and processing of accounting documents based on controlling department requirements.
- Key user (incl. Training of other departments) of AP software across European entities.
- Creation, maintenance and update of vendor masterdata in cooperation with the purchasing department.
- Creation of payment proposals and payment runs in SAP.

Key Activities Performed on a Monthly Basis:
- Verification of accounting documents for VAT report preparation.
- Participation in monthly and annual closing activities.

Other Activities:
- Collaboration with the finance team, relevant departments, and third parties.
- Analysis of liabilities’ due dates and open purchase orders.
- Preparation of documentation in accordance with audit requirements.
- Strong focus on the implementation of improvements to internal processes.
- Archiving of documents in compliance with internal procedures.
- Ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
- Support and maintain guidelines and policies on Accounting processes
- Selected project work to e.g. implement new software, change policies and procedures, training and communication with other departments, etc.
