Chef Cook

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Position Summary

The Chef/Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food in accordance with established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines. This role ensures efficient kitchen operations, maintains cleanliness, and contributes to a positive dining experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality expectations.

• Ensure timely production of meals, especially during peak service hours.

• Adjust recipes or methods as needed to meet dietary restrictions or special requests.

Kitchen Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (eg, HACCP, local regulations).

• Monitor inventory levels and inform management of shortages or needed supplies.

• Properly store food items and manage stock rotation (FIFO).

Menu & Quality Control

• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards.

• Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality, taste, and appearance guidelines.

• Minimize waste and control portion sizes.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.

• Help train new kitchen staff in cooking techniques, safety, and kitchen procedures.

• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding orders and special requirements.
