Molding Specialist

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Leading manufacturer of domestic and commercial volumetric water meters (our site produces and assembles the key plastic molded components that go into our products) are looking for an experienced Molding Specialist to join and support our team. Reporting to *Manager Role*, the Molding Specialist is mainly responsible for molding process development and maintenance. Establishing and maintaining stable molding processes, managing the upkeep of critical mold tooling, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment are core duties of the role.

  Key Responsibilities

• Optimisation of existing moulding processes to ensure maximum quality output
• Support moulding technicians with resolving moulding process issues where required
• Assist with Kaizen, RPS and Corrective Action activities where Engineering support is required
• Management of mould tooling maintenance schedule
• Liaise with toolmakers to arrange servicing, repairs, and modifications to production mould tooling
• Manage purchase and delivery of new mould tooling, from specification through trialling and final production readiness
• Manage purchase and delivery of new equipment and processes, including moulding machines and moulding automation projects, from specification through implementation and final production readiness
• Creation of key manufacturing documentation such as setting sheets, SOS, risk assessments, etc.
• Business trips to England during the first year of contract

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Industry recognised Injection Moulding Engineer qualification, or degree in a related Engineering discipline
• Proven experience in Injection Moulding process development (at least 3 years)
• Proven experience working with Injection Moulding automation (at least 3 years)
• Good working knowledge of Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• English language at a communicative level 
• Excellent knowledge of Injection Moulding safe-working best practices
• Willingness to travel on regular business trips to England during the first year
