• In your first months:You'll explore our current compliance framework, get to know our Records of Processing Activities, and dive into our unique biometric ethics committee processes.
• As you settle into the role:You'll take full ownership of the data protection program, managing GDPR workflows, vendor DPAs, and providing critical compliance reporting directly to the CEO/COO.
• Within your first year:You'll have the opportunity to shape our EU AI Act readiness strategy, influence product-level "Privacy by Design," and ensure our global sales operations remain audit-ready in 80+ countries.

What You'll Help Build

At Innovatrics, we build biometric technologies for elections, border control, digital ID, and secure onboarding in 80+ countries. Our algorithms have reached over a billion people.

Your work here won't get lost in a backlog; it'll shape real-world systems that matter. You will own and run the company's data protection and compliance program across Internal operations, Sales, and Product so the company stays lawful, ethical, and secure.

About You

You are a pragmatic, business-oriented professional who remains calm under pressure. You have the backbone to say "no" when needed while always proposing workable alternatives. With high integrity and a disciplined approach to documentation, you are comfortable operating with a high degree of independence and reporting directly to top leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in data protection, compliance, or legal roles, ideally within tech/SaaS or regulated environments.
• GDPR Expertise: Hands-on ownership of GDPR programs, including ROPA, DPIAs, DSAR processes, and accountability documentation.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate legal requirements into practical SDLC gates.
• Risk Management: Strong skills in risk assessment and implementing mitigation measures (contractual, operational, and technical).
• Communication: Excellent drafting skills for policies and procedures; confident presenting to the Board/Leadership.
• Education: Degree in Law, Compliance, Information Security, or Business. Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CAMS are a strong advantage.

Techstack & Focus Areas

• Data Protection: ROPA, LIA/DPIA, Vendor DPAs.
• Sales Compliance: Customer KYC/CDD, Sanctions & Export controls (Dual-use).
• Product Governance: Privacy by Design, EU AI Act readiness, Biometric Ethics.
• Internal Oversight: Whistleblowing, Code of Ethics, Anti-corruption.

Compensation

• Salary gross range: starting from €3000 EUR / month, tied to competency and technical evaluation.

Interview Process

We value transparency and your time. Here is our typical process:

1. Introduction Stage: Recruiter Screen (~30 min).
2. Team Interview Stage: A single round (~2-2.5 hours) divided into:

• Technical Interview: Focusing on your problem-solving and compliance knowledge.
• Practical Collaboration: A hands-on session working on a real-world compliance/ethics challenge with our team.

Final Stage: CARES Interview with our committee to ensure alignment with our core values: Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Shared Mission.
