Financial GL Accountant

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
As a Financial GL Accountant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. You’ll work closely with cross-functional finance teams to support standard processes and contribute to key projects, helping maintain the financial integrity and compliance of the organization.

A glimpse into your role. What you will do:

• Perform general ledger postings with full supporting documentation (IFRS 15 & IFRS 16 focus).
• Maintain asset reconciliations and coordinate inventory counts with local teams.
• Handle payroll accounting and partner with HR to explain variances.
• Calculate intercompany recharges and collaborate with FP&A on trend analysis.
• Manage accruals, month-end activities, and account reconciliations (P&L & balance sheet).
• Support statutory year-end closing activities.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for management.
• Address accounting queries and resolve issues independently.
• Ensure SOX controls are prepared, reviewed, and followed.
• Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives within finance.

Informácie o výberovom konaní:
Home-office based position.
Travelling to Vienna required approximately 2 days/week.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
• Experience with SOX controls and general ledger processes
• 4–5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in a multinational or Shared Services setup
• Degree in Finance or Economics (ACCA certification a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Proactive, independent, and eager to learn
• Team player with resilience and flexibility
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting systems
