O pozícii

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Brightpick is a fast-growing warehouse robotics company headquartered in Bratislava. We design and manufacture a full fleet of autonomous mobile robots deployed in fulfilment centres across Europe and North America. As we scale our production to hundreds of robots per year, we are looking for a driven and experienced Manager of Manufacturing to lead our operations end-to-end.

You will own the core manufacturing operation — from assembly and quality to warehouse management and production planning. Procurement and logistics are handled by dedicated teams; your job is to work closely with them to keep the production line running smoothly and on schedule. You will lead a hands-on manufacturing team and be directly accountable for scaling Brightpick's production capacity while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Core responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Production

  • Lead and technically supervise the assembly and calibration team
  • Develop documents and continuously improve production processes and work instructions
  • Manage the product changes implementation process
  • Oversee commissioning and testing of manufactured robots
  • Drive production scheduling in close collaboration with project and engineering teams
  • Approve workflows and maintain production tooling

Quality

  • Implement and uphold quality standards for inbound materials and finished products
  • Internal warranty deviations, repairs, and supplier complaint resolution
  • Define and track quality KPIs; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions

Warehouse & Inventory

  • Manage warehouse operations and stock across all locations
  • Conduct regular inventory audits of materials and fixed assets
  • Admin SAP — implement and maintain processes and data integrity
  • Coordinate inventory reporting with the finance department


Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Close cooperation with the Procurement team to ensure parts availability and on-time delivery
  • Cooperation with service team about spare parts manufacturing and delivery
  • Work with Logistics on shipping schedules, documentation, and customs requirements
  • Serve as the manufacturing voice in cross-departmental planning and escalation processes

People Leadership

  • Set and track SMART goals for team members; conduct regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews
  • Foster motivation, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding and attendance management for the manufacturing team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a manufacturing or production operation
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system (SAP or equivalent platforms)
  • Strong technical understanding of electromechanical assembly processes
  • Building and leading high-performing cross functional team
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with procurement, logistics, warehouse, R&D and sales teams
  • Structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills — able to bridge technical and business stakeholders
  • Fluent in Slovak or Czech; working English required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in robotics, automation, or hardware manufacturing
  • Familiarity with customs and international freight operations
  • Lean / Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodology background
