Technical support engineer (2nd level+ focus on OMNIS Client/Server

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
We are looking for specialist, who support us in the secure and highly available operation of OMNIS Client/Server. In this role, you are a part of a global team that ensures the secure and highly available operation of our measurement technology solutions for our customers worldwide. If you have a passion for innovative IT solutions, several years of experience in IT service management and application operation of business-critical applications, you have come to the right place!

Your tasks:

- you provide technical support for the operation of OMNIS Client/Server in diverse customer environments, including cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, private clouds) as well as on-premises infrastructures, based on specific customer requirements
- you know the best practices for high availability and disaster recovery across both cloud and on-premises environments and implement these in the operation of our customer systems
- you support with technical problems related to the infrastructure
- planning and implementing changes, tests and introducing new releases and patches
- analyzing and resolving problems with our customers' OMNIS Client/Server systems
- controlling and monitoring system utilization
- 3rd level support and support in IT projects
- ensuring security requirements in collaboration with security specialists
- identifying potential for improvement and developing and implementing measures
- creating and updating operational documentation

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
- ideally, you have one or more relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator)
- you are familiar with MS SQL databases and their cloud services (e.g. SQL Managed Instance, Amazon RDS)
- optimally you have relevant practical experience in managing cloud infrastructures
- thanks to your very good English skills, problem-solving sessions with customers in English are no problem for you
- you have very good communication and teamwork skills, which is why you enjoy direct contact with customers
- you are familiar with IT change and operational processes, you use IT service management models such as ITIL V4
