Senior Accounting Specialist (male/female)

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Ensure compliance with accounting regulations. The main responsibility is the preparation of financial statements, provision of supporting documentation for internal and external audits, and support of the Shared Services Center during month-end closing processes for four Slovak and two Austrian entities.

What will be your responsibilities?

✅ Responsibility for preparation of financial statements for statutory purposes on a yearly basis and for group purposes on a quarterly basis. Cooperation with the reporting team including guidance on the application of new standards. Overview of the yearly IFRS reporting process. Support in the preparation of documents & explanations for internal and external audits for all Slovak and Austrian companies, and cooperation with an external accounting provider in Austria.

✅ Checking and analysis of the posting of special transactions on accounts related to financial investments, equity, fixed assets, taxes and manual journal entries (accruals, provisions) including gaps between statutory and IFRS, and preparation of the related reconciliations.

✅ Active participation / calculation of CIT (depending on the level of involvement of external advisors) and calculation of DT for statutory purposes on a yearly basis, calculation of CIT and DT for group purposes on quarterly basis in cooperation with the Accounting Manager.

✅ Internal control environment – active participation in setting of internal controls, preparation and review of internal control documentation (in Sofy), active participation on stock count management. Improvements of controls in financial environment and preparation of internal directives.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

➡️University degree in finance/accounting or high school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international company

➡️ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in multinational company with SSC

➡️ Knowledge of accounting legislation

➡️ Basic knowledge of IFRS

➡️ Basic knowledge of US GAAP

➡️ Tax knowledge - an advantage

➡️ English language - B2 level

➡️ SAP (FI, AM modules) - an advantage

➡️ MS Office - user level
