Ohpen is on the lookout for #a skilled Senior Java Developer# to join the team and help us build and maintain the product and its applications. There is where you come into the picture!

#Briefing#
You would be joining one of our self-governing squads in Bratislava or Zilina, which owns the domain of our platform from start to finish and where most decisions are made internally – an exciting place for skilled developers who can bring in new ideas.

You will get the freedom to come up with new solutions and be in an ever-evolving role where you learn new things in the exciting world of Java.

Since #English# is our daily working language, we expect you to be comfortable communicating effectively in English on a professional level.


#About You#
• You have #2+ years# with backend programming languages such as #Java, C++, Rust# and willingness to code in #Java/SpringBoot#
• You have semi-advanced knowledge or interest in #AWS (EC2, Lambda, LB)#
• You have experience with #Terraform, GitHub + workflows#
• You have working experience with or an interest in #Developing Cloud Systems, Build platform-integrated pipelines or Lead software delivery automation#

We don’t do sprints or ticket factories. We deliver whatever we deem best value/effort, release biweekly (for now), and constantly work to shorten feedback loops. Developers write code, tests, and deploy. Each team has one QA and one DevOps - no handovers, no walls to throw things over.

Everyone is expected to contribute to #architecture and design#. Bureaucracy is kept to a minimum. If something slows us down, we fix it.
