Responsibilities

• Administration of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server databases

• Installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade of database environments

• Database performance monitoring and optimization

• Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities

• Design and implementation of High Availability solutions

• Troubleshooting database-related incidents

• Capacity planning and performance tuning

• Collaboration with infrastructure and application teams

• Technical consulting for customers in the area of database technologies

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

• Implementation of database improvements and best practices

• Participation in customer projects from solution design through implementation and go-live

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in database administration

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • PostgreSQL

  • Oracle Database

  • Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience with backup and recovery processes

• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills

• Experience working in production and enterprise environments

• Experience delivering database-related projects

• Ability to work independently and proactively

• Structured, responsible, and customer-oriented approach to work

• Professional working proficiency in English

• Slovak or Czech language is highly preferred

Nice to Have

• German language skills (minimum B2 level)

• Linux administration experience

• Experience with High Availability and database replication technologies

• Scripting and automation skills (Shell, PowerShell, Python)

• Cloud platform experience

• Experience working in English- and German-speaking environments

• Experience working in IT outsourcing or managed services environments
