Be part of an international law firm where you’ll play a key role in leading the billing cycle running smoothly—helping maintain the firm’s financial health and ensuring great client satisfaction.
You will play a key leadership role within the global billing function, overseeing a dedicated team responsible for end-to-end billing operations.
This position ensures the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of invoices in accordance with local regulations and the Firm’s established billing policies. You will also be responsible for effectively managing team workflows and resource allocation. Collaboration is central to the role, requiring close coordination with other teams within the global billing organization and broader Finance function to support seamless, cross-functional operations.
Strong technical expertise is essential, including the ability to quickly understand the Firm’s billing system and various eBilling platforms. You’ll need a solid grasp of billing processes, firm guidelines, and local regulatory requirements—along with an awareness of the risks of non-compliance.
Exceptional people skills are also key, as you’ll support team development and collaborate with colleagues across the global network. A confident, proactive mindset and problem-solving approach will help you lead effectively and handle day-to-day challenges. You’ll also play a key role in driving process improvements as part of the Firm’s modernization efforts.
Here are additional details about the job:
* Oversee the output and day-to-day performance of the billing team ensuring alignment with the goals of the global billing function.
* Lead, coach, and develop team members to enhance their capabilities and deliver high-quality service.
* Maintain a deep understanding of the Firm’s billing systems, including end-to-end billing processes, online billing tools, and eBilling platforms.
* Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related enquiries and escalations within your region, ensuring timely resolution and strong stakeholder relationships.
* Define, monitor, and deliver on key billing SLAs and performance metrics.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, acting as a role model for adaptability and change.
* Ensure all billing practices are compliant with internal guidelines, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
* Keep all billing processes up to date with evolving country-specific regulatory changes.
* Regularly review and improve team procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, while supporting global end-to-end process improvements across the pitch-to-cash cycle.
* Influence key stakeholders to drive improvements and standardization in global billing processes.
* Promote collaboration and open communication across the Global Finance function and wider Firm network.
* Support audit activities by providing insights and documentation related to billing practices, policies, and compliance with local regulations.

Informácie o výberovom konaní:
* The role is suitable also for candidates from other regions in Slovakia. The team meets in the office one day per week.
Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
* Experience in managing the teams in Finance and excellent understanding of Finance environment
* Experience and ability to lead to team towards self-direction
* Excellent leadership skills with high focus on effective communication, strategic thinking, relationship management, organisational skills, time management and adaptability & resilience
* Excellent technical ability in utilizing Microsoft Office and a Billing System
* Ability to multi-task to meet demanding deadlines
* Basics of project management
* Experience of working in and with Global Shared Services
