Technical Product Owner (Maritime)

FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services (FSS) as a member of the Austrian Group FREQUENTIS AG, is focused on software development, system engineering and delivery of safety-critical voice communication and information systems. Our solutions are developed and distributed in the following business segments: Air Traffic Management & Defence (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management), Public Safety (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services) and Public Transport & Maritime (railway and urban transport solutions, vessel traffic management).

Your Role

Join our product development team for FREQUENTIS MarTRX - our next generation voice and data communication product tailored for Maritime. FSS oversees the development of the FREQUENTIS MarTRX suite - a range of products specifically designed for Maritime GMDSS and VTS systems. The suite is based on VOIP technology and enables voice and data communication for our customers around the globe.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and maintain short term product roadmap
• Execute the product life-cycle
• Understand customer’s requirements and, in cooperation with system architects, translate them to the team of developers and coordinate successful delivery of the order
• Prioritize and drive out the product requirements
• Support development team
• Coordinate tasks related to the customization and changes of implemented solutions
• Create offers for product features to stakeholders using team input
• Deliver product releases in time and within budget
• Responsible for analysis, documentation, presentations, reports for the customer

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in managing software projects
• Background in system engineering and a strong desire to further expand your knowledge in the telecommunications field
• Previous experience with SCRUM as a Product Owner
• Previous experience with JIRA and JAMA
• Hands-on experience with programming (Java, C, C++, C#)​
