About this role

This role requires a solid foundation in electronics and embedded programming, combined with a creative and hands-on approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for developing and testing electronic components and modules that form the core of our advanced automation systems. Experience with servo drives and a passion for designing and building functional prototypes are essential. You will be joining a collaborative team of five experienced engineers who are eager to share their knowledge and support your growth.

Reports to

Mechatronics Team Leader

Core responsibilities:

• Testing of electronic components and integrated circuits for automation systems.
• Create and execute test scenarios for complex mechatronics modules and systems, documenting results and reporting bugs.
• Implement technical solutions according to specifications, ensuring functionality and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in electronic components and modules using various tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Build functional prototypes to validate designs and demonstrate feasibility.
• Propose new functionalities and improvements based on in-house testing and research.
• Create clear and concise instructions for mass production.
• Prepare systems for serial production, ensuring smooth transition from development to manufacturing.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to designs, testing, and production processes.
• Collaborate effectively with the Mechatronics team and other departments.
• Contribute to meeting departmental and project deadlines, effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Deploy technology at customer locations, including occasional travel (up to 10%, primarily domestic).

Requirements:

Essential:

• C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with PLC programming
• Knowledge of Ethernet TCP/IP protocol
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Understanding of low-level communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485).
• Experience with servo drives and drivers
• Familiarity with sensors commonly used in automation (e.g., proximity sensors, encoders, vision systems, etc.).
• Electrical certification under "Paragraph 21 or 22"

Desirable:

• Familiarity with industrial automation or robotics.
• Practical knowledge of electronics, including circuit design and analysis using relevant software tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• English language proficiency (B2 level or higher)
