Senior Financial Controller

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

As a Senior Financial Controller, you are provide proactive advice and critical insight into the business, controlling, and finance teams within your area of expertise. You ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports, analyses, and projects, and actively engage with stakeholders to drive value for the organization. The purpose of this role is to contribute to optimal business performance through high‑quality financial control.

Responsibilities:

·         The independent and timely delivery of the (weekly, monthly and quarterly) financial reports consisting of, among

other things, salary analyses, P&L deviations and PB/PF recons of various Ewals entities; with completing monthly

and yearly checklist

·         Ensures strong internal control and compliance with group policies and local legislation

·         Analyzing and assessing Turnover and Costs to ensure accuracy and compliance

·         Create financial/non-financial declaration based on the local legislation, review foreign and local VAT

·         Preparing comprehensive Balance sheet statements and Income statements (Local Fiscal statements: Balance

Sheet, Income statement, Notes to financial statements)

·         Compute or support the Corporation tax

·         Cooperate with auditors (local and group audit)

·         Drawing up budget and financial forecast in collaboration with management and budget manager

·         Timely submission of declarations and reports to internal and external stakeholders

·         Proactively making proposals to improve various processes and procedures

·         Contribute to the further roll-out of a new financial system

·         Act as a business partner for your entity and thus contribute to increasing financial awareness in the organization.

In addition, you are a partner for management, your fellow Financial Controllers and Business Controllers

·         Reporting/advice to business (controllers) and guidance for employees within specific fields of expertise: e.g.

providing quality analysis to business controllers by making use of the correct tools/programs

·         Up-to-date subject matter expert from a generic base of knowledge, understanding and acting on specific local

issues (e.g. for VAT., specific local fiscal requirements)

·         Monitoring and driving continuous improvement for optimal policy and process design

·         Expertise knowledge development and sharing with colleagues

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Knowledge level: University level in Economics/Finance, accounting certificate (CPA, ACCA, CMA)

• Experience: at least 5+ years of experience as Financial Controller 

• Language: knowledge of Slovak and English language

• Specific knowledge / skills: Work well with MS office applications, specifically with Excel, Outlook, deep technical accounting expertise & controlling knowledge, advanced GAAP/IFRS knowledge, strong capability with ERP systems, financial analysis, and cross‑functional communication

The role requires a high degree of independence, ownership, and proactive identification of risks and improvement opportunities.
