Simulation Engineer - Digital Twin

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
Join our EU & Africa AME Digital Twin team and help drive the digital transformation of manufacturing operations. In this role, you will develop and maintain Digital Twin models, with a primary focus on Discrete Event Simulation, supporting production optimization, project planning, virtual commissioning, and 3D layout development. This role is to support the Digital Twin strategy for European and Africa Lear plants. We are looking for a driven and motivated person who will be open for travels up to 25% to our regional plants.

Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain Digital Twin models for existing production processes, awarded projects, and RFQ activities.
Use simulation tools (e.g., Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation) to optimize capital investment, labor utilization, and operational performance.
Support Virtual Commissioning by integrating simulation models with PLC programs before equipment installation.
Develop and utilize 3D plant layouts and point cloud data for facility planning and process optimization.
Collaborate with Plant, Industrial Engineering, Controls, and AME teams across the EU & Africa region.
Establish simulation standards, best practices, and reusable model libraries.
Analyze simulation results, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.
Deliver training, share lessons learned, and promote a culture of digitalization across Lear.

The role will be part of the AME – Digital Twin central team.

Requirements:

Experience with manufacturing simulations, Digital Twin technologies, or industrial engineering.
Knowledge of discrete event simulation tools (Tecnomatix Plant Simulation preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.
Passion for innovation, process optimization, and digital transformation in manufacturing.
Very good communication skills – comfortable in presenting to all levels within the business
Willingness to travel up to 25% of working time within Europe and Africa
