Job Purpose:

As the Product Owner for the Data Quality team, you will define and deliver the product roadmap, ensuring the vision aligns with business needs. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, fostering a user-centered, agile environment to enhance the Data Quality Platform.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Roadmap

Define and communicate the product scope, vision, and roadmap to all stakeholders.

Identify and track OKRs to measure product success throughout its lifecycle.

Collaborate with stakeholders to shape products and manage their expectations regarding status and priorities.

2. Product Delivery & Agile Leadership

Translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Manage and prioritise the product backlog.

Train and lead a cross-functional team (Business Analysis, Design, Dev, Test) to deliver high-quality features.

Oversee offshore analyst workflows to ensure delivery within SLA timeframes.

3. Platform Management & Governance

Act as the SOX ITGC Control Owner for the tool.

Manage vendor relationships to influence future tool improvements and capabilities.

Oversee the deployment and management of Data Quality, Reference Data, and Business Glossary deliverables across environments.

Support integration requirements between the platform and the broader Data Universe.

4. Continuous Improvement

Gather customer feedback and conduct research to inform product decisions.

Promote the tool’s capabilities across the organisation to drive adoption.

Technical & Professional Skills

• At least 10 years of relevant experience
  
• Data Expertise: Highly proficient in SQL; experience interrogating data using Snowflake and dbt to support quality initiatives.
• Technical Literacy: Experience with Git, APIs, and GraphQL.
• Agile Proficiency: Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Design & Architecture: Familiarity with UX design principles and an understanding of software/process architecture.
• Problem Solving: Ability to design technical solutions for complex data challenges with a "hands-on" attitude.
• Domain Knowledge: London Market Insurance background (advantageous, not essential)
• Solid people management skill
