While our AMRs and ASRS are the brains and legs of the operation, we are now introducing groundbreaking products that require a seamless "circulatory system": Conveyors.

We are looking for a Senior Conveyor Systems Lead to own the evolution of our conveyor portfolio. You aren’t just a designer; you are a product visionary and a technical powerhouse who will define how our robots interact with the physical flow of totes. If you have a "problem-solver" DNA and an obsession with innovative material handling, we want you in Bratislava.

As the Senior Conveyor Systems Lead, you will be the internal SME for all things moving on belts, rollers, and chains. You will lead the integration of our new groundbreaking product into existing and new conveyor ecosystems. This role sits at the intersection of Product Development, Mechanical Design, and Project Execution—ensuring that every tote reaches its destination with surgical precision.

Core responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Design: Lead the mechanical design and "productization" of Brightpick’s conveyor modules, ensuring they are modular, scalable, and "robot-ready."
• System Integration: Own the technical interface between our ASRS/AMR systems and conveyor lines, ensuring seamless tote supply and discharge.
• Technical Leadership: Act as the "Lead Engineer" for conveyor projects, translating complex customer requirements into actionable engineering specifications and 3D CAD models.
• Innovation & R&D: Drive a "hard work, high innovation" mindset to develop custom conveyor add-ons (diverters, lifts, specialized transfers) that don't exist on the market yet.
• End-to-End Lifecycle: Manage the journey from conceptual layout and flow calculations to vendor selection, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and on-site commissioning.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Evaluate and manage global conveyor OEMs, ensuring their equipment meets Brightpick’s high standards for speed and reliability.
• DFMA & Optimization: Apply Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles to ensure our conveyor solutions are cost-effective and easy to maintain.

Requirements:

• The Expertise: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 5+ years of deep experience specifically in conveyor systems (roller, belt, sorters, spiral, etc.).
• The "CAD Ninja" Skills: Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) to design custom modules and complex layouts.
• Integration Knowledge: A strong understanding of how conveyors "talk" to WCS/WMS systems and integrate with sensors and PLC-driven automation.
• Innovative Mindset: You don't just buy off-the-shelf; you look for ways to make systems faster, quieter, and smarter.
• Project Grit: Proven ability to manage timelines and budgets while being willing to go on-site to ensure the "steel hits the floor" correctly.
• Communication: Fluent in Slovak and English (B2/C1), with the ability to explain technical "flow" to both stakeholders and customers.
