Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
For our foreign client in the technical equipment manufacturing sector, we are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Purchasing Manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
We expect experience in both strategic and operational procurement activities, technical education, and experience in the manufacturing sector.
The successful candidate will work with internal customers and external suppliers to achieve the best value in terms of delivery, costs, quality, and services for the various production facilities of our client, which are located in different regions/countries (Germany, UK, Slovakia, etc.).
The work will be carried out from Slovakia, from the company, in combination with remote work from home.
You will be part of an international Procurement team with assigned responsibilities across several categories.
It will be necessary at times to be present at some of the production sites as well as to occasionally visit suppliers.
Your task will be:
- to define the purchasing strategy in a designated category (mechanical parts, sheets, etc.)
- optimize and rationalize the supplier base,
- manage risks,
- negotiate, close deals,
- process contracts and ensure contract management,
- build relationships with suppliers and internal customers,
- improve purchasing processes and implement best practices.
- manage activities in the supply chains to ensure the continuity of production lines.
You will conduct market research on potential suppliers and maintain purchasing data in the company's information system.
We are looking for an experienced buyer/manager who is capable of and interested in working in the field of strategic procurement in a rapidly changing, technical environment, while possessing strong business acumen.
He should have strong technical knowledge and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:
The key skills we are looking for are:
- Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies
- Expertise in end-to-end purchasing (strategic and operational) related to the procurement of material components and assemblies for the production of technical products
- Up-to-date professional knowledge of category management in the procurement and purchasing of hardware components, as well as complex assemblies, from low to medium production volumes up to specific custom-made products
- A good, organized approach with strong project management skills and a hands-on mindset
- Customer-focused, with experience in working with and leading complex cross-functional groups of stakeholders through purchasing processes to deliver organizational benefits
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
- Working knowledge of finance and budgeting, along with strong analytical skills
- Understanding both the tangible and intangible value that procurement brings to the business.
- Proven results in working with best practices in compliance, procurement, and legal regulations.
- CIPS qualification or progress towards it will be an advantage
- Knowledge of English at least at C1 level, both spoken and written.
- With the aim of potentially expanding our Eastern European supplier network, language skills in Slovak, Polish, or Czech will be a great asset.
- Knowledge of ERP is required, experience with Oracle will be a plus.
