Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to and shape all stages of computer vision and machine learning algorithmic development, spanning fundamental research, design, and implementation.
• Develop proof-of-concept implementations, prototypes, and demos to fine-tune technologies into practical, state-of-the-art systems.
• Design and implement advanced algorithms for 2D and 3D data processing (e.g., point clouds, multi-view geometry).
• Perform rigorous experiments and evaluations to quantify and validate improvements made to existing perception systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with our world-class R&D team—including embedded systems and backend engineers—to continuously optimize and integrate your solutions into our product portfolio.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, robust, and efficient code in C++ and Python.
• Contribute to our knowledge base by documenting your research, algorithms, and results, while helping influence and guide junior-level personnel.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related STEM field; alternatively, comparable industry experience with a proven track record (5+ years preferred).
• Solid foundation and deep understanding of computer vision and machine learning concepts. Key areas of interest include object detection, tracking, 3D computer vision, multi-view geometry, and SfM/SLAM.
• Proven programming and scripting experience in C++ and Python (experience with Matlab is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with foundational libraries and packages such as OpenCV and Point Cloud Library (PCL).
• The ability to bridge the gap: Knowing when to use a deep neural network and when a classic geometric approach (or a hybrid of both) is the most robust and efficient solution.
• Experience with deployment across Linux, Windows, and ROS platforms.
• Takes ownership of their work, is self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced applied research environment.
• A curious and analytical mindset, with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and adapt patterns in innovative ways.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with fluency in English.
