O pozícii

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:
Let's introduce ourselves

Plant Business Office (PBO) is the plant's central unit for strategy and efficiency, responsible for defining, securing, and driving the long-term vision, capacity, efficiency, and investment planning across the entire facility. PBO organization includes several project managers, project leaders, and analysts and falls under Plant Engineering, together with other central functions such as Environment, Plant Maintenance (center of excellence for maintenance) and Facility Management. PBO works very closely with the Plant Management Team as well as central functions on topics such as capacity, efficiencies, new technology roll-out, or high-priority complex projects (such as permitting).

What you'll do

You will be the principal strategist and business driver behind our facility’s long-term growth and competitiveness. Leading a high-performing team of Project Managers and Analysts (~5 FTE), you will steer site strategy, capacity planning, footprint optimization, and capital investments while expanding the plant’s external business ecosystem.
Operating at the intersection of Plant Engineering, General Management, and Manufacturing Strategy, you will bridge local operations with global leadership, external partners, and regional institutions to pioneer transformation, launch cutting-edge technologies, and unlock new growth opportunities.

In doing so, you will be responsible for:
Strategic Masterplan & Vision
- Own the technical master plan, facility footprint, and long-term industrial layout;
- Drive innovation, automation, and efficiency roadmaps, and site-wide transformation and improvement initiatives;
Innovation, Funding & External Partnerships
- Source, prepare, and secure funding for innovative projects through EU programs, state subsidies, and regional development grants;
- Identify and build strategic business partnerships with external tech providers, research institutions, local industry ecosystems, and commercial stakeholders to accelerate site innovation;
- Lead general business-development initiatives and strategic assignments beyond core plant operations.
Efficiency & Capacity Optimization
- Set efficiency targets, model production loading, and optimize workforce/manning forecasts;
- Maintain overview of capacity bottlenecks and lead capacity modeling effort;
- Lead cross-functional pre-studies (e.g., insourcing vs. outsourcing, vehicle cycle plans, model-year integrations).
Capex & Project Governance
- Oversee capital expenditure strategy from initial ideation and business case development to scope definition, approval, and phase-out;
- Maintain rigorous project governance and cross-departmental alignment across complex industrial programs;
Executive & Stakeholder Alignment
- Act as the primary strategic liaison between local plant leadership, global corporate divisions (R&D, Procurement, Program Office), and external business entities;
- Optimize organizational structures, governance processes, and external business models.

What you'll bring
  • Proven Leadership: 10+ years in a senior Program/Project Management or Business Development role within automotive OEM, highly automated manufacturing, or major transformation environments;
  • Funding & Partnership Expertise: Demonstrated experience securing EU/state grants, managing institutional funding mechanisms, and building strategic external partnerships;
  • Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong track record in long-term strategy, Capex allocation, business case development, and broader business development assignments;
  • Team Leadership: Experience managing, coaching, and developing direct teams of project managers and analysts;
  • Technical & Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing systems, process design, Lean/Six Sigma, and project methodologies (PMP or equivalent preferred).
  • Digital skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite;
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills across international matrices;
  • Education: University degree in Business/Economics, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
  • Languages & Mobility: Fluent in English (Slovak is a strong advantage), ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
