Chief Accountant

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to take full ownership of the accounting function within a manufacturing plant during an exciting period of development.

The company is evolving from a locally-driven setup towards a more structured, international environment, supported by ambitious growth plans over the coming years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee end-to-end accounting (statutory & IFRS reporting).

• Manage monthly and year-end closings and ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Maintain general ledger, invoicing, and account reconciliations.

• Prepare management reports and IFRS reporting packages for group consolidation.

• Coordinate accounting activities across departments to ensure timely closing.

• Act as the main contact for auditors, tax authorities, and external partners.

• Support local management with financial insights, budgets, and forecasts.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

• Manage and maintain the ERP financial module and master data.

• Improve and optimize accounting processes in a growing environment.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team (with a focus on scaling capabilities as the organization grows).

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Must have:

• Minimum 8–10 years of accounting experience.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory accounting.

• Fluent English (daily communication required).

• Previous team leadership experience.

• Ability to:

  • work independently,

  • take ownership and drive outcomes,

  • communicate effectively across the organization.

• A consistent accounting career path.

 Nice to have:

• Experience in scaling or developing accounting functions and/or improving or setting up processes.

• Background in Big4 or other international environments.

• Exposure to audits, tax matters, transfer pricing.

• Experience working with high transaction volumes or in dynamic environments.
