Senior Financial Controller I EN

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

In this role, you will be responsible for the full scope of Controlling activities and for providing management with accurate and timely financial analyses and information to support effective decision-making. You will coordinate month-end and year-end closing, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency and margins. You will work closely with Accounting, Business Management and other stakeholders and participate in local and international Controlling projects.

• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, including the review of cost and revenue accruals and resolution of closing-related issues.

• Prepare regular monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc Controlling reports, financial analyses and management comments on company results.

• Analyse operating results against budget and previous forecasts, identify variances and recommend measures to improve performance, reduce costs and enhance margins.

• Coordinate strategic and mid-term financial planning, including the collection, analysis and consolidation of financial data.

• Manage the forecasting process and prepare regular forecasts, including trend analysis and commentary on deviations.

• Take responsibility for the Cost Budget, Marketing Budget and Investment Budget, including their correct setup and implementation of budget changes.

• Monitor costs, open commitments, internal orders and investment projects and ensure correct Controlling setup.

• Maintain and control Controlling-relevant master data and processes in company systems, particularly SAP CO.

• Monitor the correct use of cost centres, internal orders, projects and other Controlling objects in SAP and initiate corrective actions where required.

• Continuously develop and optimise reporting systems, Controlling processes and efficient financial data handling.

• Cooperate with internal and external auditors and provide relevant financial data and documentation.

• Participate in local and international Controlling projects and initiatives focused on efficiency and process improvements.

• Provide expert financial support to management on investment projects, cost-saving initiatives and measures aimed at improving margins and operational efficiency.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• University degree – Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in Controlling or financial management

• Solid practical understanding of Controlling processes – closing, budgeting, forecasting and planning

• Strong financial know-how and ability to understand complex business topics

• Experience in financial analysis, reporting and variance analysis

• SAP experience; knowledge of SAP CO is a strong advantage

• Slovak language – fluent C2

• English language – fluent C1 and used as a business language – mandatory

• Hungarian language – an advantage

• Analytical and structured thinking with a high level of accuracy and accountability

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Business Management and other stakeholders

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to identify opportunities for process and reporting improvements

• High stress tolerance and ability to perform effectively under pressure
