Firewall and Network Security Specialist (Fortinet, Checkpoint)

We’re looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer who’s ready to take ownership of complex security infrastructures in a global automotive environment. In this role, you’ll manage and develop cutting-edge firewall systems (Fortinet, CheckPoint), design and implement security solutions, and play a key part in protecting the digital backbone of an international manufacturing leader.

You’ll collaborate with IT teams and external partners, lead security projects from planning to operation, and ensure the company’s systems remain robust, compliant, and future-ready. • Administration and further development of firewall systems (Check Point, Fortinet)
• Ensuring ongoing operations, conducting error analyses, and resolving incidents
• Planning, implementation, and operation of security solutions (e.g., Trellix, Crowdstrike, Proxy (Squid, Netskope, Cisco WSA))
• Creating and maintaining operational concepts, documentation, and monitoring of responsible systems
• Executing projects in the area of network security and lifecycle management
• Advising internal projects on network architecture and security requirements
• Training and supporting IT colleagues and the service desk in handling security solutions
• Coordinating external service providers and preparing for audits
• Participating in on-call duty

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Completed education in IT (apprenticeship, technical college, university of applied sciences, university) or equivalent professional experience
• At least 8 years of experience in firewall and network infrastructure administration
• Checkpoint / Fortinet experience
• Solid knowledge of network technologies, VPN, VLAN, IPAM, and integration of IT subsystems
• Experience with tools such as Trellix, FortiManager, PHPIPAM, PRTG is an advantage
• Certifications in network security (e.g., Check Point, Fortinet) are desirable
• Independent, structured working style with a high level of initiative
