Quality Engineer

Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

Support Establishment Greenfield

• Designing and implementing a tailored Quality Management System (QMS) to support the start-up phase, with a focus on the unique requirements of stainless steel production.
• Setting up initial quality control and assurance protocols, drawing on extensive experience with stainless steel, to ensure product compliance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate quality considerations into the design and development of new products and processes, ensuring an optimal production environment.Design and implement a tailored Quality Management System (QMS) for the start-up phase, focusing on stainless steel production requirements.
• Set up initial quality control and assurance protocols, leveraging extensive experience in stainless steel, to ensure product compliance.
• Support the QHSE Manager to define, establish, and implement all required quality and environmental policies, aligning with both local regulations and global best practices.
• Understand the current quality process at relevant sites within De Jong and transfer best practice to the new quality standard.
• Support the creation of roles and responsibilities within the quality team, including a Skills Matrix definition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality considerations into the design and development of new products and processes, ensuring an optimal production environment,

Quality Engineering main activities:

• Define the quality requirements for new processes.
• Daily monitor the quality performance of its projects
• Actively improve the quality performance using continuous improvement tools .
• Has the authority to stop production to correct quality problem based on ISO 9001 .
• Reference and responsible person to ensure product conformity
• Responsible for respect of standards /ISO/TS 9001 and customer requirements.
• Responsible for quality performance, problem solving and improvements related to customer.
• Assure reaching customer targets.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, with a specialization or significant coursework in materials science, focusing on metals, particularly stainless steel.
• Experience with stainless steel welding and ability to assess weld quality and compliance with welding processes
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in stainless steel production.
• Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), local regulations, and the specific challenges associated with stainless steel production.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Slovakian, capable of effectively collaborating across departments and with external stakeholders.
