About the role

CMS’s international focus means that you will have the opportunity to work on both domestic and cross-border corporate and employment law matters, while gaining early exposure to clients and complex legal projects.

You will be responsible for a variety of work in a broad-based role, including:

• Advising on a wide range of corporate matters, including company incorporations, corporate governance, reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, and day-to-day corporate housekeeping;

• Drafting and reviewing contracts, corporate documents, etc.;

• Opportunity to participate in diverse employment law assignments, including hiring and termination processes, employment contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary matters, grievance procedures, and relations with employee representatives;

• Participating in employment litigation and communication with Slovak labour authorities;

• Providing efficient and professional support to senior lawyers and partners;

• Managing, coordinating, and supervising the work of students and interns where appropriate;

• Developing professional client relationships;

• Supporting the wider team in business development initiatives and raising the firm's profile;

• Participating in marketing events, seminars, and client training activities.

About you

You are a hard-working individual who has the following qualifications and abilities:

• Master's degree in Law from a Slovak Faculty of Law;

• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience in corporate and/or Slovak employment law (highly regarded);

• Team-player with strong communication and interpersonal skills;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of another language would be an advantage, but is not required);

• Global mindset;

• Fast and eager learner;

• Detail-orientated and able to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines;

• Responsible and reliable.
