Join Swiss Re as our Head of Operations & Product Services where you'll lead a vital team that forms the operational backbone of our Life & Health Solutions business. This is your opportunity to drive operational excellence while enabling business growth in a global reinsurance leader.

About the Role

As Head of Operations & Product Services, you'll provide strategic leadership to ensure the smooth functioning of critical operational processes that support our Life & Health Solutions business. You'll optimize contract management, invoicing processes, governance adherence, and client satisfaction while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Contract Management

Oversee central storage of all contracts, Statements of Work, and legal documents.
Oversee contract data load into revenue recognition tool (ConRAD) to ensure accuracy
Manage IFRS assessments for revenue recognition and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Track and implement contractual changes, including inflation adjustments.

• Invoicing & Financial Operations

Supervise license fee schedules and invoicing requests
Ensure accurate tax treatment and collaborate closely with the Tax team.
Drive overdue invoice management, reconciliation, and resolution of issues.

• Governance & Risk Management

Ensure operational risk controls (RCSA) are implemented, monitored, and updated.
Lead governance adherence checks on deal processes, AML/CDD requirements, and product risk reviews.
Coordinate implementation of governance updates into ARIS and other tools.
Oversee record management, product catalogue maintenance, and rate card updates.

• Process Management & Operational resilience

Manage end-to-end ownership of key business processes and tools (e.g., Sales Advisor, Solar, ConRAD).
Manage documentation and governance of processes in ARIS
Oversee operational resilience activities
Oversee SharePoint knowledge management and ensure availability of information for colleagues.

• Leadership & Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a small team ensuring collaborative environment
Represent the function in senior stakeholder discussions and cross-functional projects.
Work with diverse set of stakeholders

About the Team

The L&H Operations & Product Services team serves as the operational backbone for Swiss Re's Life & Health Solutions business. The team manages critical functions including comprehensive contract management, invoicing processes, governance adherence, client satisfaction surveys, and end-to-end process management.

About You

You're a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership abilities and a passion for operational excellence. You understand how robust operational processes contribute to business success and client satisfaction. Your ability to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking allows you to both manage day-to-day operations effectively and drive long-term improvement initiatives.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in financial services or insurance/reinsurance
• Demonstrated experience in contract management, financial processes, and governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and compliance requirements in a regulated environment
• Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to develop high-performing teams
• Knowledge of the L&H insurance or reinsurance industry is an advantage
