The Actuarial function sits within the Actuarial, Claims and Data team under Group Chief Actuary. The team works closely with the Portfolio Optimisation (PO), Underwriting and Finance teams in supporting the business with Actuarial oversight and insights through data analytics as well as fulfilling regulatory reporting requirements. The PO and Actuarial teams operate an offensive and defensive strategy which allows creative thinking and new ways of working to create a truly data-led insurance business.

Your Tasks:

• Reserving activities for major events and US GAAP
• Compliance with Solvency II including assisting with the calculation of Technical Provisions as well as analysis for the Actuarial Function Report
• Partnering with the business on key strategic projects
• Analysing internal and external data
• Developing the technical functionality (modelling method and calibrations) of the Reserving Model

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Experience Required:

Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics or equivalent quantitative/statistical fields or 1+ year’s experience as an Actuarial Analyst.

Your skills:

• A top-tier aptitude for numbers
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Solid self-motivation and an ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Good wider IT skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in particular, able to understand and communicate complex technical issues clearly

Nice to have:

• Some knowledge of SQL, VBA, R, or Python would be an advantage, but a strong desire to learn programming is essential.
• Broad understanding of (re)insurance
• Having experience in working in cross/diverse team projects
