Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti:

The U.S. Mission in Bratislava is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Accounts Payable Technician/Invoicing Analyst in the Financial Office.

The Accounts Payable Technician/Alternate Cashier (APT/Alt Cashier)  has primary duties of voucher examination and secondary duties of alternate cashier. As alternate Class B Cashier responsibilities include payment processing, collections, accommodation exchanges, deposits, cash replenishments and reconciling financial transactions.

As Payable Technician/Invoicing Analyst, coordinates and processes a variety of claims and invoices submitted to the E-Invoicing module in ILMS for approval and payment. Prepares and analyzes monthly expenditure reports for sections and agencies related to mobile telephone and internet usage, and for the Bi-Mission’s account receivable portfolio. Prepares and submits official collections for the vouchering portfolio using the Regional Financial Management System (RFMS).

The incumbent serves as the Alternate Representative of the U.S. Disbursing Office (USDO) with the local banking representative. They provide technical guidance, training and instruction to designated sub-cashiers, and Occasional Money Holders (OMH) with in the Embassy. The incumbent performs duties in compliance with U.S. Government (USG) regulations and the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS) Standards.

Požiadavky na zamestnanca:

Experience:

Three years of experience in administrative support and/or accounting operations.

Language:

​English - III (Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing) is required. Slovak - IV (fluent) is required. This may be tested.

Skills and Abilities:​

Proficiency with personal computer software applications to include: Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Demonstrate professional competence; ability to independently solve difficult problems; to successfully operate and cope under competing demands without compromising results. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and display the highest level of integrity. Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Knowledge:

​Good working knowledge of general principals in finance, accounting, bookkeeping. The incumbent must have a good knowledge and control of basic mathematics and a thorough understanding of cash reconciliation methods.

Education:

Successful completion of at least two (2) years of college/university studies is required.​
