About this role

Brightpick is transforming warehouse automation with AI-powered robotic solutions. Our flagship product, the Brightpick Autopicker, is the world’s first commercially available autonomous mobile picking robot for e-commerce and grocery order fulfillment. Operating under the control of an on-premise server and coordinated via cloud services, our fleet of robots navigates warehouse aisles, picks items directly from shelving, and consolidates orders without centralized stations—cutting labor needs by up to 95%.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead and grow our internal DevOps team. This hybrid role combines line management with technical leadership, reporting directly to the Director of Software Engineering.

Core responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 5 DevOps engineers through mentoring, performance management, and technical guidance
• Define and maintain the DevOps roadmap and long-term strategy
• Drive scaling and automation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and internal tooling
• Oversee on-premise server infrastructure, cloud environments (GCP), and robotic fleet operations
• Ensure reliability, performance, and security across environments
• Design and implement robust logging, monitoring, alerting, backup, and redundancy solutions
• Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity Manager and ICT Manager to align on infrastructure policies and implementation
• Work with product development teams (robotics and on-premise software) to support system delivery and lifecycle
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and enforce high-quality engineering standards

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
• 3+ years in a managerial or line leadership role
• Strong background in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and systems administration
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible
• Deep understanding of networking and hybrid infrastructures
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), scripting (Python, Bash), observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or EFK)
• Experience with designing continuous delivery solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments

Language Requirements:

• Primary language: Slovak
• English proficiency: C1 level
